Assistant Coordinator of Humanitarian Relief and Public Outreach
Ahed Festuk is Assistant Coordinator for Humanitarian Relief and Public Outreach for the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees. She is an activist from Aleppo who was one of the pioneering women demonstrators. During the war, Ahed worked as a hostile environment and emergency first aid trainer and paramedic on the frontlines, and for other medical and relief organizations.
In 2016, Ahed applied for political asylum in the United States and moved to New York City. By training, she is an accountant.
Ahed’s desire to help her people has never diminished. She is a public speaker raising awareness about the Syrian crisis and is a member of the Syrian Women’s Political Movement.
