To commemorate World Refugee Day on June 20, host a postcard writing event to send a message of hope to a Syrian family.
MFA will provide you with blank postcards and a packet of instructional materials. All you need is friends and coloring supplies to draw on the postcards! After writing the postcards, mail them back to MFA. We will include the postcards in an upcoming shipment of humanitarian aid and give to a displaced Syrian family.
Complete the below form with your information and an MFA team member will reach out to you.
During your postcard writing event, remember to share a picture of your artwork with the hashtag #WRD2019 and #RefugeesWelcome to raise support online!

Joint Resolution Announced Affirming the Work of Operation Good Neighbor
Lankford, Casey, Mast, and Sherman Introduce Resolution Supporting Israel’s Humanitarian Aid Efforts in Syria
Last week as part of a bi-partisan effort, Senators James Lankford (R. OK.) and Senator Bob Casey (D. PA.) on the Senate side, and Representatives Brian Mast (R.FL.) and Brad Sherman (D.CA.) in the House, introduced a Joint Resolution reaffirming the unique collaboration among United States nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to deliver humanitarian assistance to Syrians.
As is noted in the Resolution, the Syrian war has continued for eight years during which time, 14 million Syrians have fled, and 6.5 million people have been displaced within the country. Through Operation Good Neighbor, the IDF worked with U.S. and Syrian NGOs to provide humanitarian aid to southwest Syria. This cooperative effort delivered food, fuel, medicine, ambulances and medical supplies – and demo...
MFA Kicks Off Women’s Relief Program with Community-Action Packing Event
This past Sunday, April 7th, 2019 more than 135 volunteers of different faiths and backgrounds gathered together at Brotherhood Synagogue near Gramercy Park to help Multifaith Alliance launch its latest initiative, the Women's Relief Program.
Volunteers from around the metropolitan area came together to pack 1,000 backpacks of women’s health and hygiene supplies for a container that will be sent to northern Syria this spring.

Along with its partner organizations, MFA seeks to address this gap in medical care for women and proposes to specifically target women’s health and wellness through shipments of medicine, medical equipment, hygiene and dignity su...
The Muslim and refugee bans put in place by the current Administration have clearly caused heartache, travel, financial, and a wide range of other problems for those prohibited from entering the US. In addition, they have contributed to the increase of Islamophobia and racism across the nation. While the Supreme Court upheld the validity of the President’s travel ban last June in Trump v. Hawaii, the new Congress has been hard at work to rectify this decision and to respond to other discriminatory acts that have gone into effect.
This April, Senator Chris Coons (D.DE.) and Congresswoman Judy Chu (D.CA.) plan on introducing The No Ban on Refugees Act. The legislation includes rescission of all five Executive Orders that used Immigrations and Nationality Act Section 212(f) as a basis to broadly ban and discriminate including Muslim/Refugee Bans 1.0 & 2.0, Muslim Ban 3.0, Refugee Ban 3.0, and the Asylum Ban. In addition, the legislation would amend Section 212(f) to prevent its f...
