Coordinator of Communications and Outreach

The Coordinator of Communications and Outreach for the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees (MFA) is an exciting position with a tremendous opportunity to work in efforts across the organization.A S/he will be involved in a number of activities for MFA, among them supporting communications and media connections, managing our network of Participating Organizations, assisting with interfaith outreach and communications, helping organize Speaking Tours and other MFA events, and more.

 

Commitment to helping Syrians affected by the war, the ability to work independently, and personal drive are prerequisites, as our tight-knit team is looking for someone to help support our work in a variety of ways. Some experience dealing with the press would be preferred. We need someone with the ability to communicate efficiently, and who has an eagerness for the opportunity to work directly with our public relations firm, which is the largest in the world. You will have the opportunity to help develop MFA’s face to the public, as we together create a strategy for how MFA is presented to the world.

 

This is an opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in the nonprofit world to take the next step, and bring her/his enthusiasm to support many areas of MFA’s critical work. The Coordinator of Communications and Outreach will report to the Executive Director, and interact with each area of the organization, as s/he helps to craft language and develop innovative programming that raises awareness around the Syrian issue and funds to aid those affected.

 

The Coordinator of Communications and Outreach is an exempt position, which will be built around the skills, talents and experience of the appropriate candidate—with the opportunity for flexibility to accommodate the candidate’s personal needs.

Manager of Development

The Manager of Development for the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees (MFA) is an exciting position with tremendous opportunity for creativity and growth. S/he will develop and manage all fundraising activities for MFA. Novel approaches, enthusiasm, and drive are prerequisites, as our tight-knit team is looking for someone to help build on our success in shipping more than $114 million of humanitarian relief to war-torn Syria, and enable MFA to take on even greater challenges to assist those in such desperate need.

 

This is an opportunity for a motivated fundraising professional with experience in the nonprofit world to take the next step, and bring her/his ideas and creativity to direct an organization-wide effort that will reach existing funders and expand MFA’s funding base. The Manager of Development will report to the Executive Director, and interact with each area of the organization, as s/he helps to develop the strategies and communications to reach major donors, work with foundations, and expand MFA’s impact with the general public.
