MFA 2018 Annual Report

A year of making a difference.

Our mission is rooted in the shared belief of all great faiths to care for the stranger. The strength and resilience of the Syrian people inspired our work in 2018 — and continues to motivate us into the coming year. In the past year, the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees (MFA) shipped 29 containers of humanitarian aid valued at $55 million — bringing the total to more than $120 million in just two years. This relief has supported hospitals with lifesaving medicines and medical supplies and responded to the emergency needs of camps for internally displaced persons. As the war continued into its eighth year leaving more than 500,000 dead and 13.1 million in need of humanitarian assistance, MFA kept the focus on the Syrian crisis through media outlets and in-person outreach. In Washington DC, we continued to advocate for sensible and humane refugee policies. It has been a busy and rewarding year at MFA. Click here to read our Annual Report, and explore our work in 2018.

Our accomplishments this past year would not have been possible without the support we have received from donors, relief suppliers, and individuals, like you, who have been inspired to help. Thank you. As busy and rewarding as 2018 has been, MFA has set even greater goals for 2019. We look forward to expanding our humanitarian aid footprint in Syria, growing our network of relief suppliers, and advocating for sensible and human refugee policies.
