MFA and JFS Mobilize Boston to Provide Critical Supplies to Refugees in Syria
The JFS Syrian Refugee Humanitarian Project brought together organizations across the Greater Boston MetroWest area, including synagogues, Islamic centers, members of academia and the medical community to provide hope, safety, and new opportunities to refugees of the Syrian war. This project was instrumental in ensuring that refugee families resettling in Massachusetts received the care, attention and support necessary to overcome their horrific trials and to start building a new life here in the United States.
To continue this important work, JFS is teaming up with the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees — with generous support provided by The Shapiro Foundation — to send a shipping container full of personal hygiene, medical and other needed supplies to children and families living in refugee camps inside Syria this spring.

During the event representatives from MFA gave reports about the ongoing humanitarian crisis and survivors from Syria shared their stories of tremendous loss, as well as their passion for bringing help and relief to the thousands who continue to suffer:
