MFA Postcard Writing for Syrian Refugees
MFA is looking for postcard writing groups to write their own postcards to send to people affected by the crisis, especially women and young girls in Syria. Each postcard will be included inside a kit of relief supplies. The kits will be distributed to Syrians at hospitals as well as refugee camps.
MFA will provide you with blank postcards and addition materials for your event! All you need to do is have partipants — and lots writing and color utensils to draw on the postcards.
To host a postcard party, please click here to complete a form and an MFA team member will reach out to you.
Our Focus on Women and Girls
Now in its eighth year, the Syrian crisis has left more than 500,000 dead. There are 5.6 million Syrian refugees registered in neighboring countries; and 6.6 million internally displaced people.
One of the most brutal aspects of the crisis has been the deliberate targeting of the medical infrastructure — the bombing of hospitals and killing of doctors. The disruption of Syria’s healthcare system has had disastrous impact on the most vulnerable members of the population — women and young children.
In response, MFA has been working with its healthcare partners on the ground in northern Syria to address the needs of Syrian women through our Women’s Relief Program.
The Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees (MFA) is the nation’s leading interfaith response to the Syrian refugee crisis. In just two years, MFA has shipped more than $125 million in relief supplies including medicines, hospital equipment, food, clothing, and other supplies to those in desperate need inside Syria and in neighboring refugee camps.
MFA is comprised of more than 100 participating organizations. MFA harnesses the power of faith-based and secular organizations to respond to the Syrian crisis. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
