Calling Interfaith Voices for Syrian Temporary Protected Status (TPS) Holders

Calling Interfaith Voices for Syrian Temporary Protected Status (TPS) Holders
Due to the upcoming decision on Temporary Protected Status, or TPS, for Syria on August 1, 2019, the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC) is asking faith leaders and organizations to sign on demanding the administration extend TPS for Syria for 18 months and redesignate, the maximum protection allowable under the law.
There are currently 7,000 Syrian TPS holders in need of protection from the war and humanitarian emergency in Syria. If TPS is redesignated, more recently arrived individuals and families would be able to apply for protection through TPS, too. Safe return to Syria is impossible at this time. The United Nations predicts that the situation in Syria will remain unpredictable in 2019, with 13 million people in need of humanitarian aid.
SIGN ON DEADLINE: FRIDAY, JULY 5, 2019, 5 p.m. ET
